How else could Brusca obtain such a large amount of explosives without a licence; establish a tunnel underneath the roadway not far from the airport without raising suspicions; establish the date and precise timing of Falcone’s drive into the city from the airport, the latter variables typically managed by Falcone’s staff. <br /> Falcone was trying to give back Sicily to the people; he was betrayed by politicians worried that further investigation might uncover their connections to these vermin. Sicily needs to pass a “War Measures Act” giving authorities extraordinary powers of arrest and rendition (if necessary for those outside the country) to ALL suspected members of the Mafia; no warrants, no probable cause, and a minimum of 25 years to life depending on circumstances of association (no parole). In effect &quot;a complete resection of the cancerous tumour&quot;. And finally, an issue that Falcone worked on for years, the confiscation of all Mafia assets; that should amount to some 400-500B$.
