Italians came to the US for the same reasons that other immigrants today do. Just because you add the word Ämerican"to Ïtalian" doesn't change the fact that they immigrated here. They were also discriminated when they came to the US. Obviously, he has to be more subtle. Janet Napolitano is the obvious choice for Attorney General; she is brimming with credentials (experienced practicing lawyer, US Attorney general of Arizona, Governor etc.); so Obama appoints her to HomeLand Security, a third tier government position.
